<h2 id="what-should-i-do-to-take-care-of-my-stainless-steel-item"><strong>What should I do to take care of my stainless steel item?</strong></h2><p>General Guidelines:</p><ul><li id="isPasted" style="font-size: 16px;">Avoid grinding or scraping on hard surfaces as this will scratch the plating.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Clean with a microfibre cloth or 100% cotton fabric to remove light surface grime and restore lustre to your items.</li></ul><p>We suggest taking your items off when doing the following:</p><ul><li><span style="font-size: 16px;">Washing your hands with harsh soaps or chemicals.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 16px;">Using skin care products, hair care products or fragrances.&#xA0;</span></li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Performing rigorous activities such as sports, going to the gym or physical labour.</li><li><span style="font-size: 16px;">Meal preparation or food handling.</span></li><li id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 16px;">If you have a plated piece, such as gold or black, remove your jewelry before showering, bathing or swimming in pools, oceans or hot tubs.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Despite the fact that stainless steel will not tarnish or rust with exposure to water, it is a best practice to keep your items clean and dry to ensure improved longevity.
